Race Across the World became my kids geography lessons during lockdown one in 2020. I was working and trying to provide some sort of ‘homeschooling’ to them and having watched the first series I felt like it was fair game to let them watch it. My son (who was only 7 at the time) loved it and we’d do a little q&a session at the end of the episodes to talk about the countries and cities they’d been in. There was a little bit of swearing from the contestants at times, as they navigated endless coach journeys, which my kids would delightedly also report back on at the end of each episode in their appraisal! Brilliant show. Sad it will be awhile until we likely get another series. If there is ever another UK lockdown lord knows I would need series 3 pronto.
